How To Create A Google Account For Child

 

Is your child not yet 13? We'll explain how to create a kid's Google Account for him. Cell phones for children are no longer just expensive toys. Phones help parents keep in touch, and children learn and grow over time.

Buying a phone for your child (or reusing the old one) is only half the battle. The gadget must be configured correctly and you must do this yourself.

First of all, you need to create an account for your child. On an Android device, it must be a Google account without which your child cannot use the phone fully. It is like it is.

Create a Google Account on your child's phone.

In much of the world (including the US, UK, and Australia), users must be at least 13 years old to create their own Google Account. However, some countries have different age requirements. For example, most European citizens have stricter requirements. Prepare a used smartphone

If you want to give your child their old smartphone, do a factory reset first. This erases the memory, including everything that is not intended for use by minors. How to do a reset:

• Open Settings,
• Go to System (usually at the very end of the list),
• Tap Advanced,
• In the drop-down list, select Reset options,
• Tap Erase all data (factory reset)
• Confirm the deletion and follow the instructions.

If you'd rather not reset your smartphone before giving it to your child, you'll need to delete your account first. While Android supports multiple accounts, there shouldn't be any other accounts on a child's device.

If you try to create a Google Account for your child using your phone, a warning message will appear and you will not be able to proceed. In either case, you will delete all existing Google accounts from your smartphone. To do it:

• Open Settings,
• Select Accounts,
• Locate your account in the list, tap it, and select Remove account,
• Confirm the deletion.

You can now configure the new account. To create one on a used device:

• Open Settings,
• Go to Accounts and tap Add account,
• Select Google.

The new or restarted smartphone just needs to be turned on and connected to a cellular or Wi-Fi network. Once the system is updated, you will be prompted to sync your data (skip this step for now) and sign in to an account. Google.

The following steps are the same for new and used devices. On the Google Account login page:

1. Tap Create an account,
2. In the drop-down menu, select For my child,
3. Tap Yes, continue,
4. Enter your child’s first and last names, then Press Next,
5. Enter their date of birth and gender, then Press Next,
6. Create an e-mail address for your child or enter an existing one,
7. Press Next,
8. Set a strong, unique password for your child’s account, then Press Next,
9. Enter your e-mail address or phone number, then Press Next,
10. Read Google’s terms of service, check the boxes to confirm you accept them and consent to data processing, and Press Agree,
11. Enter the password for your account so that the system knows it’s really you create the child’s account.

It may take a while for Google to validate your data, and you may also be asked to create a family group if you don't already have one.

Everything ready! Your child now has a Google Account. You can use it without any restrictions, but you are in control of what happens to the account. For example, you will receive email notifications when someone logs into the account from an unknown device, tries to reset the password, etc.
